The J’s Family

Meet the Founders

Founders, mothers, leaders and pioneers in international early childhood education.

Ms Irene & Mrs Yang, started J’s International School with a clear vision of educating young children.

As mothers of international school graduates, graduating from Seisen International School and St. Mary’s International School, they knew exactly what it would take to raise global citizens with a clear understanding of their identity.

About our team

At J’s International School: We are educators, mothers and artists.

Each of our classes are formed with a team of an early childhood educator, mother figure and an artist. Children need a loving and caring environment that mothers often create, educators focus on the child’s development and help form rich learning environment, while the artist helps create the foundation of a life long journey of creativity. Every class holds this golden trio in which children can learn, love and create alongside their classroom teachers.

At J’s International School we embrace all cultures and welcome passionate educators from all around the world. Our educators all represent different nationalities but of course speak English fluently. As an international school we have layers of identities. Just as our students speak more than one language, we too can communicate in multiple languages including Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, Hebrew & Chinese.

We are always welcoming future prospects. Send us a quick message with your resume if you are interested in working with us!

J’s Family Community

We believe in the importance of community. At J’s we form a strong partnership amongst parents and teachers to support the child in the best way possible.

Making learning visible to parents is an important aspect in our daily lives. Children and their accomplishments, thriving in a new skill or simply understanding a concept - this is all communicated directly by the educators to the parents through the Seesaw app. We encourage grandparents and family members who support the child to also be connected to witness their growth day by day.

Daily communication, tri-annual parent-teacher conferences, flexible meeting times, open house and various activities and celebrations held for families to join are just some of the ways to build our strong parent-teacher partnership.

The PTA

Joining the J’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is an active way of participating in your child's education. Open to all parents to join every year a new classroom mom and deputy will be selected to lead as both English and Japanese speakers. The PTA’s aim is to help in school events, communicate amongst the parents, support the school, raise funds and maintain a strong community through these curated activities and events.
